Four More Days

Hi Boozer – I miss you already.

Be Good while I am gone – Take care of Mommy, ND Guy, Darth Vader and Taun-Taun while I am gone J

Put Jim out when you get home and look at the schedule – I know it is easy to SAY you did the extra work, but don’t cheat your body. Its all to get to your goal. 20 pushups and 20 situps is 10 minutes of work – 10 minutes now = a lifetime of benefit.

Also, get dressed for the gym as soon as you get home. Remember, MOM doesn’t have much time – so we are counting on you to be the grown up. Get your spelling packet done as soon as you can and then you can relax the rest of the week (making it easier on everyone).

Be good and I will be home about the time you get home Friday.
I love you with all my heart and cannot wait to see you soon. I will call you as much as I can (so keep your phone charged).

Being Proud of YOU

Hi Boozer-

The other day, while we were driving, you were asking questions (as you always do) – and the subject came up – “Would I be proud of you if….”

The funny thing with you, is you always come with different scenarios (situations), and this time the conversation went like this -

“Would you be proud of me if I never played for Notre Dame?”

“Would you be proud of me if I were only a Walk On?”

“Would you be proud of me if I never made it on the field”

Of course, throughout I continued to reassure you that your mother and I would be proud no matter what.

Well, as Seniors leave ND – they make a highlight video.  This year they did something different – they interviewed the parents.

As you watch this video, I want you to notice that there are parents of players there that you never heard of…..because they were walk-ons or 3rd stringers.  I want you to see how proud those parents are of their children's accomplishments and see the tears in their eyes as they realize that their children's dreams are coming true.

I know at times I am tough on you, but you’ve asked me to get you to your goal….and I promised.

Buddy, as you see how proud those parents are……always remember, it is maybe 25% as proud as I will be of you.

Dream Big.

I LOVE YOU
